_____While a student at the University of Tennessee, I worked with other peers to start a student organization called the Society Of Media Arts, or SOMA. This group is exists to plan and promote media-arts related events in the Media Arts / 4D Art department at UTK. Students had always been responsible for some level of planning in regards to the student film festival, but as a coherent group, SOMA can now undertake other tasks like inviting guest artists and holding extra-cirricular critiques. As chairman of the group, I organized tasks, aquired supplies, conducted meetings, and designed media. When last I checked, my successor was doing great things with SOMA.
