_____This was a recruitment poster I designed for SOMA, a student organization at UTK that I formed with a few peers in 2009. I didn't really consider the design finished, but we were pressed for time. It's included in the portfolio mainly for context, and to show a little bit of SOMA's footprint. The poster was meant to be arrestingly strange, purely for the purpose of snagging a person's interest. (And, perhaps as a result of seeing lots of very odd films during my media arts education.) From there, it served as a mission statement and recruitment lure for our fledgeling group. From what I hear, the media kids are keeping the group alive and doing more with it each year.
