_____Clouds remain one of my favorite subjects to photograph. They provide infinite possibility of composition, color, and feeling - and yet have a distinct language all their own. They are a dynamic and living mandala of the universal forces, and of the emotions of living beings. For us, they express beauty, sadness, joy, terror, and hope. In this instance, I find the co-presence of ominous murk and hopeful luminescence to be particularly striking - even with its subtle palette.
